Musingu School and St. Anthony’s Boys set to clash in today’s hockey opener, marking a battle of champions
The Brookside Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Term One Games 2024 kick off this morning in Machakos County, hosted at Machakos Boys and Machakos Girls schools. Over 2000 students are set to participate, showcasing their talents across various sporting categories.
The event will feature competitions in basketball (5×5), athletics, hockey, cross country, handball, rugby 15’s, and swimming. With such a diverse range of sports on display, spectators can expect an exciting and competitive atmosphere throughout the tournament.
One of the highlights of the opening day will be the clash between heavyweights Musingu High School from Kakamega, the defending champions, and St. Anthony Boys Kitale from the Rift Valley region. This encounter promises to be a thrilling showdown as both teams vie for victory in pool B’s opener.
In addition to this marquee matchup, there will be several other exciting encounters on the schedule. Meru School will face off against Nairobi School, while Ringa Boys will take on St. Charles Lwanga. Murang’a, representing the Central region, will also compete against hosts Katangi in what is sure to be a fiercely contested match.
