KUPPET Encourages Junior Secondary School Teachers to Participate in Teacher Saccos.
Zakayo Kibet, the Vice Chairman of KUPPET Baringo, is urging Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers to consider becoming members of teacher Saccos. Speaking at Boresha Sacco’s Education Day in Nakuru City, Kibet emphasized the potential economic advantages that young teachers can derive from participating in these cooperative financial institutions.
During his address, Kibet highlighted the ample evidence supporting the economic benefits associated with Saccos. He encouraged JSS teachers to join teacher Saccos to access and enjoy these benefits, underlining the role of such investments in promoting economic stability among educators.
In addition, Kibet advised teacher Saccos to actively engage with schools hosting JSS and promote their products to the teaching staff. Drawing from KUPPET’s observations, he pointed out how teachers’ lives have positively transformed through their involvement with Saccos.
“Saccos serve as a crucial economic tool that can assist teachers in acquiring property, investing in various businesses, and financing their children’s education,” remarked Kibet. He stressed the unique advantages of saving within a Sacco, asserting that it offers more significant benefits compared to depositing money in other financial institutions.
In essence, Kibet’s message underscores the potential for economic empowerment and growth through participation in teacher Saccos, encouraging JSS educators to seize these opportunities for their financial well-being.
