Release of Capitations and KCSE 2023 Results Briefing in Eldoret
The Principal Secretary for Basic Education, Belio Kipsang, assured school principals that capitations have been released, and the required resources are on their way. The process is ongoing, and the funds may reflect in school accounts either today or tomorrow, depending on the bank’s speed. Kipsang provided this information in Eldoret, where Education CS Ezekiel Machogu is scheduled to release the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results for 2023.
The exams involved 234,473 teachers, and in secondary schools, 903,260 students took the KCSE exams from October 23 to November 20, 2023. The announcement of national examinations is taking place outside of Nairobi for the first time, with the briefing held at the State Lodge in Eldoret, where President William Ruto was briefed by Machogu and his team, including Kipsang and Nancy Macharia, CEO of the Teachers Service Commission.
