Kieni MP assures safety ahead of schools reopening
Kieni Member of Parliament, Njoroge Wainana, is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of children in his constituency ahead of school reopening. He has organized the draining of flooded school pit latrines and is collaborating with the Ministry of Education to restore schools to habitable conditions. President William Ruto has instructed MPs to use funds for repairs of classrooms and learning facilities. In Nyeri County, over 60 schools were affected by floods, with Kieni Constituency being hit the hardest. Wainana is working with parents to drain flooded classrooms and improve sanitation to prevent the spread of waterborne diseases among children.
