KUCCPS Opens Applications for Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) September 2025 Intake

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially opened applications for admission into public Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) as part of its ongoing phased placement process for various institutions.

A total of 13,823 slots are available for the September 2025 intake in 36 public TTCs under the Diploma in Primary and Secondary Teacher Education programs. The application period will run until March 20, 2025.

Diploma in Secondary Teacher Education

  • Offered by three TTCs with a total capacity of 2,735 students.

Diploma in Primary Teacher Education

  • Available in 33 TTCs, providing 11,088 vacancies.

Admission Requirements

  • Primary Teacher Education Diploma: Minimum KCSE mean grade of C (plain) or equivalent.
  • Secondary Teacher Education Diploma: Minimum KCSE mean grade of C+ (plus) or equivalent.
  • Other qualifications: Applicants with different credentials must obtain an equivalency certification from the Kenya National Qualifications Authority (KNQA) before applying.

KUCCPS encourages applications from:

  • 2024 KCSE candidates
  • Past KCSE graduates from previous years
  • Both Kenyan and non-Kenyan citizens
