The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has released the schedule for the Grade 9 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA).
Current Grade 8 learners are set to transition to Grade 9 in January 2025 and will undertake their final Junior Secondary School (JSS) assessment in October of the same year.
According to KNEC, the KJSEA will begin on October 27, 2025, alongside the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA). The KJSEA, which comprises 11 examinable papers, will conclude on November 6, 2025.
Earlier this year, KNEC piloted the KJSEA with current Grade 8 learners across 235 schools from July 15 to July 19, 2024.
