Ministry of Education (MoE) Internship Opportunity: 1,000 Vacancies in Digital Literacy Program (Cohort 3)
These interns will not only gain practical skills and knowledge but will also play a pivotal role in supporting virtual learning and other digital platforms.
The notice specifies that interns will receive a stipend determined by the Government through the State Department. Upon successful completion of the 12-month non-renewable internship program, interns will be presented with a certificate from the State Department.
To be eligible for appointment, candidates must have graduated no earlier than 2019 and must be willing to commit to full-time deployment at any Sub County Education office within the country. Applicants should hold either a Bachelor’s degree in Education with a specialization in Information Communication Technology, a Bachelor’s degree in ICT, or a Diploma in ICT or ICT Integration in Education from a recognized institution. Additionally, the ministry requires candidates to be proficient in networking and infrastructure, application development, information security, and project management. They should also demonstrate the ability to integrate ICT with education, particularly in terms of E-Learning and content development, and possess skills for conducting research and innovation to support the DLP.
The internship duties and responsibilities include:
Supporting E-Learning and content development aligned with the schemes of work.
Providing assistance and training to Primary School teachers in the use of digital literacy devices.
Assisting in the implementation of the Digital Learning Programme.
Innovating solutions to enhance the use of digital learning in schools.
Offering support for the safe, secure, and ethical use of technology in learning.
Integrating ICT into teaching, learning, and assessment methods.
Assisting school staff in developing and producing key school policies and procedures.
Providing initial support and maintenance for ICT services in schools.
