In a parallel milestone, the university has broken ground on a new 2,400-capacity chapel, an ambitious Sh25 million project that underscores its commitment to spiritual development and community engagement.

The chapel is expected to be one of the largest spiritual centers in the South Rift region, serving not only the university community but also Christian organizations and fellowships from across Kenya.

Speaking during the groundbreaking ceremony, University Chancellor and Presiding Bishop of the Africa Gospel Church, Rev. Dr. Robert Langat, emphasized the importance of the project.

“This chapel will be a cornerstone of spiritual life at Kenya Highlands University. It will serve as a sanctuary for worship, reflection, and outreach, reinforcing our holistic approach to education,” Dr. Langat said.

Kenya Highlands University, a fully chartered institution sponsored by the Africa Gospel Church, offers a broad range of industry-aligned programs designed for timely completion while integrating Christian values into all aspects of student life.
