Two students from Kisumu National Polytechnic tragically lost their lives while allegedly engaged in a robbery attempt gone awry.
As per police findings, the deceased purportedly tried to rob a security guard, but he managed to overpower them. It’s reported that they were part of a larger group of four individuals embarking on this ill-fated endeavor.
Upon subduing the students, the guard promptly alerted others, leading to a swift response from the community resulting in vigilante justice being enacted. Their bodies have since been transported to a nearby morgue.
Catherine Kelonye, the college’s Chief Principal, expressed her efforts to contact both the authorities and the parents of the deceased, particularly noting that the incident occurred during a holiday period.
