Machogu emphasizes that prioritizing the education of the youth is a key focus for the government
Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has highlighted the government’s commitment to prioritizing investments in the youth through the Ministry of Education (MoE). He made this announcement during the Education Day in Mathira West, emphasizing the need for a new education system that fosters innovation and nurtures talent.
CS Machogu underscored the intentional focus on enhancing the quality of education, continuously refining it to empower children to achieve their maximum potential. He commended the exemplary leadership skills of the area sub-county director, particularly for achieving commendable results in national examinations. As a token of appreciation, the CS donated a new car to facilitate the director’s travel for routine education activities.
The Education Day event centered around the theme ‘Re-awakening Academic Excellence in Mathira West’ and brought together various education stakeholders from the sub-county, including MP Eric Mwambi Kahugu. During the event, MP Kahugu recognized academic excellence by rewarding outstanding achievements and distributed bursary cheques to deserving cases. He encouraged learners to remain focused, disciplined, and dedicated to achieving a bright future.
Expressing gratitude for CS Machogu’s presence, MP Kahugu interpreted it as a clear indication of President Ruto’s commitment to providing and enhancing inclusive learning for sustainable quality education.
